By bringing together PhD candidates from different EU Member States to attend four seminars of advanced learning in a Programme in European Private Law for Postgraduates (PEPP), the PEPP is playing an active role in moulding law practitioners and scholars with an international and comprehensive approach. This tome collects the work of some of the lecturers who took part in the “Imperia Round” in 2014, delivering classes on contemporary legal issues they specialise in. In particular, the aim of the lectures was to offer an in depth analysis of the role of party autonomy in contractual, non-contractual and familiar matters as well as in international civil procedure.
