The increase of complexity that characterizes the management of current policies, makes the policy evaluation more difficult and expensive suggesting the need to use flexible instruments of analysis, able of managing a large number of data. In agreement to this, the work presented proposes to flank the computerized analysis of textual data to the instruments traditionally used for the evaluation of policies.Through the analysis of the policies of equal opportunities in the Italian Regions, the paper explores the contribution offered by these techniques, and the potentialities linked to the reduction of costs and time of research.
