Although the role of innovation in social and economic development is unquestionable, there is still a limited knowledge about the causes and enablers of innovation within a territorial context. In this book, the various chapters gather contributions from different international research projects, which address this gap from different perspectives and contexts. Thus, this book intends to contribute to a better understanding of the territorial innovation phenomenon, and how different innovation practices performed both at individual and organizations levels can stimulate socio–economic development in various regions and countries worldwide.
