ITALIAN TITLE: Vino: una giunzione tra culture

ABSTRACT: The paper focuses on the international legal controversies surrounding wine in order to address the notion of accessibility between cultures. We consider cultural products such as food through their factitive dimension, as Addressers which modalize the Subject in different ways, thus marking cultural boundaries. In this manner, we can represent accessibility relationships with the instruments used in modal logic, in particular Kripke’s structures, and we can consider cultural semiotics in light of hjelmslevian epistemology and calculus. In addition, we can reconsider Lotman’s work from Greimas’ metalinguistic framework, and develop Lotman’s topological model of culture. Accordingly, we also propose the concept of semiotic borrowing, one culture from another.
