The publication explores the topic of human rights in cinema. Presenting its history and modernity as well as infrastructure as a movement, it also looks at form and content of human rights films. Human rights films are mostly described in light of philosophy of law categories and human rights issues, such as antinomies of man and power, state’s statutory law and human rights, presenting also such topics as crimes against humanity, justice and globalisation, legal protection of human rights, the right to life and euthanasia as a right to die as well as the inspiring role of personality.
