The present work wishes to disseminate the results of a research aimed at collecting national practices in cross-border insolvency and pre-insolvency proceedings, so as to help interested parties to enhance application of domestic and European rules of private international law, international civil procedure, free movement of decisions, and communication and cooperation. Domestic best practices are reported and commented in the second part of this Volume, whilst the first part is devoted to a comment on the new Insolvency Regulation, under the special focal lenses of how this instrument should be interpreted so as to ensure consistent application in the European judicial space. This volume has been published in the framework of the Project “Save Comp. Collection and development of best practices in cross border cases for the survival of distressed companies”, presented and coordinated by the University of Genoa, co–funded by the Action grants to support judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters JUST/2014/JCOO/AG/CIVI/7693 of the European Union.
