Manifold the aspects that conduct to the study of Leonardo. So vast and ample his production that the different specializations are able to investigate on how much has been left of its studies. Departing from the consideration that it needs to demolish those frontiers that still seem to be between artistic culture and scientific culture, not could subsist the one without the other, in this contribution we intends to analyze the application characteristics of Leonardo in the technological vision that not only stays characteristic of his engineering production but also artistic. This has influenced the thought of the centuries to come, as is broadly mentioned in the contribution, up to the institution in the School of Engineering of Naples of the teaching of Technical Architecture at the end of the XIX century that reassumes that characteristic cultural canons of Leonardo technologist engineer.
