Without claiming to be exhaustive, the present essay will briefly highlight some of the fundamental thoughts of the Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset on the European construction process. Specifically, the work will focus on the idea of United States of Europe, on the particulr relation bettween State, nation and society, and on the theme Europe and The Revolt of the Masses.
