KEYS TO GOOD DESIGN FOR A HUMANE, INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE CITY GUANAJUATO'S CULTURAL LANDSCAPE
Public space has become an essential factor for city dwellers, considering that spaces must be inclusive and accessible to all. The cultural and heritage landscape of the Plaza San Fernando is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, describing -the economic dynamics and the social relations of the public space, then the diagnosis is made to formulate contemporary landscape design strategies that support a methodology to complement the design in its various modalities, elements, characteristics that contribute to improving the city to guarantee safety, coexistence and user interaction within the spatial approaches to offer mobility and activities of an economic, social, cultural and tourist nature. The starting points for developing the proposal are two; the first, the historical center and its heritage as elements of daily life and the second the cultural landscape of the square through its economic and tourist activities. The general objective is to reuse public space, rescuing the heritage and its landscape to enjoy a healthy and sustainable city in social, economic and physical environmental aspects. The SPA methodology (Feeling, Thinking and Acting) consists of knowing and understanding space, objects, communications and their interrelation through direct sensory-motor experience; to later design based on stimuli, sensations, perceptions and emotions that translate into well-being and positive behaviors. The space is recognized through a tour in the Plaza San Fernando and its surroundings where the empathic dynamics of approaching situations lived by people with disabilities is implemented, generating a direct experience to later develop socio-affective proposals rethinking the landscape of the plaza in order to create awareness and improvement in the public space in full enjoyment, enjoyment and healthy coexistence for the equality of all, a more sustainable and inclusive city approach. Keywords: Inclusive city, Accessible cultural landscape, Sustainability.
