The importance for sporting activity, dictated by the Fascist Party led by Mussolini, will lead to the realization of innumerable sports buildings in Italy. Among the most significant achievements, not only for the playful aspect, but for the type that is invented, there are only the houses of the GIL. 1937 is the date of establishment of the Gioventù Italiana del Littorio (GIL); these are school structures based on sporting activity. Led by Achille Starace, who is also party secretary and CONI president, the GILs frame and start sporting activities for young Italians aged six to 21 years.
In the period between 1937 and the end of the fascist regime, various sports facilities will be built, some of wich today no longer have any trace of it, of great communicative and compositional impact.
