Filosofia della cultura e culture del digitale

Che cos’è l’ipermodernità? Ontologia, antropologia e politica delle tecnologie informatiche. What is Hypermodernity? Ontology, Anthropology and Policy of Information Technology
The paper aims at providing a theoretical background to the notion of "hypermodernity", offering at the same time a critical analysis of the idea of a "digital turn" in our culture. The notion of hypermodernity is analyzedon the basis of a more general meditation about the connection between modernity and technology. In this way, hypermodernity is identified with the stage of modernity determined by Information and Communication Technologies. The "digital turn" is therefore described not only as a technological revolution but rather as a cultural one. The core of this revolution is the notion of "hypermediation", that operates at every level of human life and knowledge: the paper aims at providing the basic outlines of an ontology, anthropology and social theory of hypermodernity.
