Irene M. Pepperberg, SB (MIT), MA (Harvard), PhD (Harvard), is a ResearchAssociate and Lecturer at Harvard, where she studies the cognitive andcommunicative abilities of Grey parrots, including developmental issues.She has published over 100 scholarly articles in peer reviewed journals andas book chapters, and is the author of The Alex Studies and Alex & Me.
