Michela Russo is Associated Professor at the University of Paris 8, in the linguistic department and member of the CNRS Research Unit «Structures formelles du langage» (UMR 7023). Her research interests are centered on Phonology and Phonetic Theory. Her research also includes cross-dialectal and cross-linguistic variation Rhythm of Speech and other aspects of Prosody, Historical Phonetics and Phonology, Romance Linguistics, especially Italo-Romance and Gallo-Romance.
