Jessie Martin is Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Lille, France. She is the author of Vertige de la description (2011), Décrire le film de cinéma (2011) and Le Cinéma en couleurs (2013). Her current research interests include cinema and colour (aesthetics, practices, discourses), the relationship between art and cinema, the making of images (questions of representation, figuration, composition).
