Iain Hamilton Grant established the Department of Philosophy at the University of the West of England in 2006. He has written widely on post– kantian European Philosophy and he is author of the books Philosophies of Nature after Schelling (Continuum 2006) and with Jeremy Dunham and Sean Watson of Idealism. History of a Philosophy (MQUP 2012). He is one of the major protagonists of the recent Schelling renaissance, and in his many works proposes an original form of philosophy of nature.
