The aim of the book is to give some guidelines in understanding the formation and virialization of structures on galaxy scale within cosmological framework. After the introduction of the Robertson–Walker’s metric, Cosmic Dynamics is obtained by Friedmann’s equations, putting inside the metric Einstein’s equations. Then we consider in which way a tiny matter density perturbation may increase, after Recombination, according to Jeans’ mechanism during the initial linear regime. As the proto–structure detaches from Hubble flow, the necessary transition from linear to non–linear regime has to be developed considering the “closed mini–universe” approximation. The virialization phase after oscillations of relaxation damped by Landau mechanism, is taken into account with the still open problem of Violent Relaxation in phase–space. The final purpose is to understand where galaxies land at virialization in order to do an interpretation of the galaxy Fundamental Plane (Volume 2).
