Area 16 – Discipline musicali

In Italia non è mai stata pubblicata una monografia sul restauro.
Questa non dà metodologie tecniche, ma motivazioni, principi, criteri, deontologia.
Gli obiettivi sono molteplici: far riflettere, mettere in luce i fondamenti del restauro, nonché i suoi valori; avvisare delle facili insidie; rimarcare quanto importante e nobile è la funzione di restauratore, protagonista dell’evento, responsabile davanti alla società e alla storia; dare stimoli a continuare con consapevolezza ed entusiasmo.
Particolare attenzione è data al suono, e quindi a tutti gli aspetti ad esso legati, concentrato di valori musicali, culturali, religiosi, territoriali e sociali.


In Italy, any restoration treatise has never been published. This one does not explain the techniques, but the reasons, the causes, the criterions and the code of practise.
There are many aims: to make one think; to underline the restoration basis and its values; warn against the traps; to highlight the importance of the restorer, who is the main character of the event and the person in charge in front of the society and the history; to encourage keeping on with awareness and enthusiasm.
The sound has a particular importance, and so do all the characteristics linked to it, because of their musical, cultural, religious, territorial and social values.
