The book presents a series of works done at the Universidad de Brasília on the subject of carrier propagation in low dimensional systems. The book is intended for researchers and graduate students in Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science and Electric Engineering. It is described the phenomenon of Bloch oscillations. Nonextensivity as a consequence of long range interaction was discussed where diffusion propagation is obtained. Several kinds of disordered structures are analyzed such as the Aubry–Andre model, the Fibonacci and the Thue-Morse lattices, the random dimer model, the logistic map and chaotic system. In two-dimensional lattices under magnetic and electric fields it is shown the remarkable effect of the formation of vortices. For the dynamics of electrons in graphene we present the so called “zitterbewegun” effect.
