SINTESI
This book discusses certain syntactic issues in Arabic-English translation at word and sentence levels. Chapters are divided according to the Arabic syntax. At the word level, the book attempts to translate into English certain Arabic words such as words acting as particle, verb or noun, pronouns, defective and verbal nouns, interrogatives, conditionals, word in duality, word and gender, and prepositions. At sentence level, the book attempts to translate into English the Arabic nominal and verbal sentences - including verbs, the subject, pro-agent, types of objects, and exception and vituperative - using Arabic examples with their English equivalence, and exercises taken from The qur’ān, with four English translations - three official ones, alongside the author’s own translation.
