Comparative theology can help Christians deepen their own faith while recognizing truth in other religions. Christian faith demands, per se, a comparative approach firstly in relation to the Bible, which presents elements drawn from other religious traditions. Some of its accounts have inspired further narratives in other worlds. However, the Bible must be privileged over any other religious text in all enterprises that intend to be consistently comparative and theological. The present situation of conflict in comparative theology is due to a lack of a solid methodology. Christian theologians need to find reasons for pursuing comparison as something not simply advisable but necessary.
