The volume deals with the New Eternal Covenant, known as Eucharistic Mystery and Paschal Memorial, that Jesus Christ made at Last Supper and accomplished on the Golgotha. He fulfilled the old Covenants and brought them to perfection by dying on the Cross and so doing his Father’s will, who so loved the world that he gave his Son in order to save him. Jesus, his Son, triumphed over death and sin, was risen and glorified at his right hand. The sinful man should acknowledge that the Redeemer did willingly his supreme act by dying on the Cross only for love. Then, by his love “up to the end” (Jn c. 13,1), he reconciled the world to God. Jesus, the Son of Man, made the Covenant in his precious blood by his love only. Then, He has become the High Priest and the innocent Lamb, the grateful living sacrifice to God, the Father, on behalf of the sinful man. Therefore, New Eternal Covenant is the supreme act of love of Jesus, the kernel of the Christian faith, the unique core of the Liturgical Worship (Cult) of the Church and the source that springs fruits of sanctification for the believing partaken. At Last Supper, Jesus left it as his memorial and gave to his Apostles command and power to do it. The Church has been obedient and by liturgical celebrations unfolds its essence.
