The text includes an analysis of the afterimage and how its use in the field of Architecture can generate a new methodology of theoretical-representative approach to the project. A particular attention is given to the ability of the image to lead to the subject: the imagination of horizontal scenarios. In these scenarios the comparison of different issues (originating from several areas of use) becomes possible. By the use of the perspective and the Theatre as conceptual structures, it has been possible to control the design process. This approach is proposed as a methodological model to control the city design. The resemantization of these concepts enables an approach to the design and architectural subjects form different points of view, putting the afterimage in the middle of contemporary architecture thinking and space design.
