La Fórmula 1 y la generación de polos de atracción turística. Contraste entre la Ciudad de México y de Valencia – España. Formula 1 and the generation of tourist attraction poles.
The investigation work arises with the analysis of two cases in different continents of circuits destined to the races of Formula 1, the case of Mexico City, with the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodromo and the case of the City of Valencia, with the missing circuit urban area to the City of Sciences and the Arts destined for such purpose. It is assumed that this sporting event generates mass tourism, which is why it is rejected by the inhabitants and was later withdrawn, as in the case of Valencia in Europe, where excessive turistification is presumed, which in turn produces various processes urban areas such as gentrification, unlike the Grand Prix of Mexico, which, despite its negative impacts, has had positive aspects such as economic benefits, as well as the diffusion of the country, which has made it a relevant event due to the dynamics it promotes and the architecture that puts in the foreground. The document explains the contrasts of both cases from a descriptive and analytical methodology, based on complex thinking, whose objectives are to identify the characteristics of these two cases, as well as the success of one and the failure of the other, although both were based on urban-architectural perspectives to generate poles of tourist attraction.
