Area 08 – Ingegneria civile e Architettura

The Italian Union of Drawing is a scientific and cultural non-profit association, which aims to develop, promote, coordinate the scientific research in the sector of survey and representation (08/E1, former ICAR/17-Disegno) and to encourage the coordination and development of the educational activity, on the basis of scientific innovations and through multidisciplinary contributions. The Union organizes, patronizes and sponsors conferences, seminars, committees and research groups, competitions and scholarships, publications. It cooperates with authorities, institutions and scientific societies, and other cultural associations, in Italy and abroad. Specifically, the UID support and coordinates theoretical and applied research in all matters relating the Drawing in its multiple meanings, the different methods of survey and representation, the computer modeling, graphics and cartography, even in their historical development. Membership is open to Teachers in charge and retired in the disciplinary sector icar/17, deserving researchers in the topics of Drawing, Postdoc, PhD, experts and assistants, Master and Degree students of all the faculties in which there are graphic disciplines.
