Area 10 – Scienze dell'antichità, filologico-letterarie e storico-artistiche

This volume brings together a series of studies carried out in the fields of Corpus Linguistics, Stylistics, Discourse and Conversation Analysis, together with investigations in Translation Studies and Language Learning and Teaching. While some of the contributions focus on just one of these disciplines, most pursue research questions in one of these areas by making use of a corpus approach. It is the versatility of the corpus-based method, therefore, which is the common denominator of this collection of papers. What this publication underlines is that, though some areas of linguistic studies have developed separately – their own specific methods of analysis, different goals and particular objects of investigation –, they also have the potential to connect and cross–fertilize through the exchange of ideas and, whenever possible, methods of analysis.
