SINTESI
This book is concerned with the development of business cycle theory. It is impossible to treat fully all the theories or to mention all those who have contributed to the literature. Our main consideration will therefore be the development of cycle theory, with maximum emphasis upon ideas. The book shows clearly that business cycle theory before Keynes, as today, is a mix of changes initiated outside and within the economic system.Claude Diebolt, born in 1967, is Research Professor (Directeur de Recherche) in economics for the French National Agency for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Director of the Bureau d’Economie Théorique et Appliquée (BETA) at the University of Strasbourg.
